That is the same board.

Was your computer custom built or is it a brand name such as Dell or HP etc.

If the latter what is the exact make and model?

DDR 2 is 240 pins. DDR is 180. The current new systems use DDR 3 which would require a new motherboard.

Re: Upgrading Video Card Help!

The most efficient for two slots is 2 x 2GB if the mobo will hold 4 GB.

I will look at more graphics cards tomorrow but as of now I am passing out.

Yea but say I could only get one 2 gig and just keep one of my 512s it want be like degraded anyhow right? And also can't some ram only work with certain types of other ram. And yea I checked out that website and wow its great. I've been using 4allmemory but they fail compared to this website. Showed me alot more options.

Yea that sucks that video card is nice but I forgot to mention I use Dual monitors one with the white plug in and the other a normal VGA. They are both on my one video card.

Re: Upgrading Video Card Help!

For best performance RAM needs to be an exact pair.

If not the lower spec will compromise the higher.

Also mixing brands is not a good idea.

For dual monitors you need dual ports. I would not recommend splitters whether for power or for monitors.

Most cards are supplied with adapters fro VGA/DVI or vice versa.

You have no need for a low profile. That was just a first link I saw.

This will work for you:

Newegg.com - EVGA 01G-P3-N945-LR GeForce 9400 GT 1GB 128-bit GDDR2 PCI Express 2.0 x16 HDCP Ready SLI Supported Video Card - Desktop Graphics / Video Cards
