Powerbook G4 not booting

Hi,

My G4 powerbook has not been booting, on the occations that does it freezes fairly soon. I've ran disk repair, didn't help. Ran the hardware test on the installation disk, didn't help. Tried taking it in to a shop and they said they ran hardware tests and told me there was nothing wrong with it (fortunatly for some reason they thought I'd brought it from them and didn't charge me!). I did a complete wipe and reinstall of my OS (10.3.9 I think) but the problem persists.

Just wondering what thoughts any of you had on the situation. I may take it into an official mac repair place (the last place I tried wasn't) but if there's something I can do to save me the money or if you think there's no hope and I should just start saving for a new one.
