Incorrect Disc Space error

My wife is running on Mac OS X 10.4.9 She installed MathType and is working on a large project with it and Word. We are running into a problem where she can not save any of her work because it says the disc is full, I even reformatted my external hard drive with over 300 GB and we have tried saving to it but it still says the disc is full. We can save work from other programs without restarting or anything and a look at the info for the HD says is has several GB left. Any help in getting around this would be appreciated.

Re: Incorrect Disc Space error

Well I don't know about mac but I know that in windows you have weird problems like what you are experiencing if the windows partition is too full. If the drive that your OS is on is full then it might not be able to save it even to your external drive. Perhaps that is because it has to create a temporary file first. But again I don't know much about macs so I can only guess. Something to consider though.

Re: Incorrect Disc Space error

Greetings,

we do not have many MAC users.

Here is a Google on your error:

MathType disk is full - Google Search

If you can provide a verbatim error it might lead to more details.
