Installing Tiger on an Imac G3.

I'm considering buying an Imac G3 and then upgrading the RAM to about 1 GB and the HDD to 120 then attempting to run Tiger on it.

But there's been a controversy that it won't work due to the OS and hardware and blah blah blah.

Any ideas?
