Is pushing it to 1.7 too much?
Or can i push it more?

I'm actually learning about this new stuff so....

Re: Okay i want to overclock my processor...

This all depends on the motherboard.

We need ID. CPU_Z if you do not know: CPUID

Mainboard > Manufacturer > Model

If the BIOS does not readily offer clock options then there is probably little you can do.

Re: Okay i want to overclock my processor...

This would appear to be that motherboard. I am downloading the manual to look at overclocking options.

Re: Okay i want to overclock my processor...

There is a clock ratio adjustment as in a "multiplier".

However the manual states not to overclock the CPU.

Overclocking as well is often overrated.

A faster appearing speed is not always more efficient at providing the best overall performance.

Re: Okay i want to overclock my processor...

Frequency Control

This item enables you to set the clock speed and system bus for your system. The
clock speed and system bus are determined by the kind of processor you have
installed in your system.

CPU Clock Ratio (8X)

Enables you to set the CPU clock. The CPU clock ratio times the CPU Host/PCI

Clock should equal the core speed of the installed processor.

Example: CPU Clock Ratio 16
CPU Frequency x 200
Installed CPU Clock Speed 3200 MHz
