Adobe Photoshop Album

Has anyone any advice? Have been using album for a long time with no problems. Have recently archived photo's to CD as running out of disk space. Since then when I try to look at thumbnails in album I can see some ok but alot just have a biq question mark, although the photo that should be there appears for about a second before the question mark appears - can anyone help? There doesn't seem to be any pattern between the ones I can see and the ones I can't (i.e. not just edited ones or certain dates).

Thanks

Image thumbnails are missing from a Photoshop Album 1.x catalog (Photoshop Album 2.x)

Issue

When you open an Adobe Photoshop Album 1.x catalog in Adobe Photoshop Album 2.x, the image thumbnails are missing and are replaced by white question mark icons.

Solution: Reconnect the missing images.

1. In Photoshop Album, choose File > Reconnect All Missing Files.

2. Do one of the following tasks:-- Let Photoshop Album perform a search for the missing files. If Photoshop Album doesn't find all of the missing files, proceed to step 3. -- If you know the location of the missing files, or if Photoshop Album has already performed a search, click Browse in the Searching For Missing File [Filename] dialog box.

3. Copy the name of one file from each different location displayed in the Original Location column.

4. Click Close.

5. In Windows, choose Start > Search and click All Files And Folders (Windows XP) or choose Start > Find > Files Or Folders (Windows 2000).

6. Perform a search for each of the files you noted in step 3. When Windows finds the file, make a note of the file path.

7. Repeat steps 1 and 2.

8. Do one of the following tasks:

-- For individual files: In the Select One Or More Missing Files section of the Reconnect Missing Files dialog box, click the name of one of the files that you located in step 6, and then browse to the file in the Locate The Files or Their Folder section using the path you recorded in step 6. choose the file, and then click Reconnect.

-- If there are multiple missing files in one or more of the locations you recorded in step 6, Ctrl+click each of these files in the Select One Or More Missing Files section of the Reconnect Missing Files dialog box, and then browse to the folder that contains the files in the Locate The Files Or Their Folder section using the path you recorded in step 6. Choose the folder (rather than an individual file), and then click Find.

9. Repeat step 8 for each remaining file.

Background information

The catalog records the location of an image at the time it was imported into Photoshop Album (it doesn't contain actual image files). If you log into Windows using a different user account than the one in which images were stored, or if you backed up the catalog and then restored it on another computer where the user name or file structure is different, Photoshop Album may not be able to automatically locate the images
