running 2 of the same program

Im trying to install a program onto my computer 2 times. I want to do this and be able to run them both at the same time as if they were different programs. I have seen one somebody do it before but Im not sure if it was on xp and if its still possible. if anybody knows how to do it, it would be a great help.

thanks for any help

Rather depends what the program is and what OS you have.

Different Prog/OS combinations allow/deny/juggle OS hooks, memory allocations, IRQ requests and a host of other stuff I don't even pretend to understand.

Tell us exactly what you want to do and we'll go from there?
