Copy & paste to cd

I have WINME
Compaq Presario
Adeptec easy cd creator 4

Today the cd that I had in the tray deleted ALL the files & folders that I had on the cd in the tray.

Now when I try to copy and paste to the cds I get this--Make sure that the disk is not full or write protected and that the file is currently not in use.

At times I get--

You do not have permission to move this file. Get permission from the owner.

I completely removed Adeptec and installed my setup disk --but that doesn't help.

What files are you trying to copy over onto the CDs - maybe they're protected operating system files or something?

Try creating a new file, such as a Word document or something. Can you copy that onto the CDs without errors?

Are you using Easy CD Creator to select the files that you want to add to the CD or are you really copying and pasting them in Windows Explorer?
