I have MP9 installed on windows 98se. It won't let me play cds in digital mode - it keeps switching to analogue even after I've tried to change the settings in Devices to digital. Cds sound "tinny" and sometimes play with an echo! When I play CDs in Start/Programs/Accessories/Entertainment/CD Player, I don't get the problem.
Any solutions out there?
Thanks.

this is from the microsoft help pages
Your hardware (CD-ROM drive and speakers) determines whether you can copy and listen to tracks by using digital or analog audio. You should select the settings that work best with your hardware.
