Symantec Secureport error

Hi all,

I am using Windows XP Prof and SCS 3.0 CE.

I receive a error every 2 minutes stating that the Symantec Secureport failed.
I changed the settings for it so it restarts itself, but that can't be a solution.
The event viewer is full with entries fo the same problem over and over.

I copied a entry, but as I am in germany , translated it to english.

Maybe someone has a solution as Symantec doesn't.

We have the same problem with several computers when upgrading to Symantec Client VPN 7 to 8.

To operate, we uninstall Symantec Client security 3.0, uninstall Symantec Client VPN, install Symantec Client VPN 8, reinstall Symantec Client security 3.0.
After last reboot, the Symantec Secureport is not start. When manually starting, stay for 1 minutes then stop with this error.

Please help us.

Seeing that this service is the target of some viruses as a first response you might want to post a HijackThis log for review by our Pros in that section:

Please follow the instructions HERE & then post your log in a new thread in the Spyware, Adware, Viruses and HijackThis Logs section.
(Not in this section please).

Please specify what issues you appear to be experiencing along with your log.
