Quick Time

Any time I use quicktime or iTunes, the audio stutters continuously. Every other audio program works fine. Is there anything I can do? any help will be appreciated.

Re: Quick Time

Does your PC meet the recommended system requirements for QuickTime or iTunes as specified by Apple? They recommend a Pentium 4 1.8GHz PC with 256Mb RAM for the latest version of QuickTime! http://www.apple.com

Re: Quick Time

Plenty of power in your PC then. I don't know whether Quicktime or iTunes have their own codecs but they might do so it could be worth checking the Apple web site to see if you have the latest version.

I would recommend two methods for basic troubleshooting:

1. Right-click on My Computer, select Properties, click on the Hardware tab and then select Device Manager. Check that your audio controller (sound card) appears correctly and that nothing in the list has a yellow exclamation mark symbol next to it.

Go to Start > Run and type dxdiag. Run the tests on the Sound tab to see if the DirectX Diagnostics utility finds a problem.

Re: Quick Time

I'm not familiar with Apple products so, if anyone has any other suggestions, please feel free to comment
