I stupidley put in my new ink cartridge not realising you had to go through the printing prefrences to do so,it made a terrible screaching noise,now when i print a picture it leaves faint lines through it and there very bright as if to much colour,ive done all the relevent checks ie.cleaned nozzle,head,and alignment but no joy have i done internal damage,please help.
how do you mean a "terrible screaching noise" (as in metal on metal?) if so it sounds like you might had do some damage to the cartridge print head, is there any ink left in the old cartridge? so you can swap back to the old one and see if you get the same lines? hopefully all you have got to do is buy yet another new cartridge, is the new cartridge an origanle one or a patern part?....
Hi,the screaching noise did sound like metal on metal,the old ink cartridges have long gone and unfortunatly for me i replaced all four cartridges and yes they were pattern parts,i'll take your advice and replace the cartridges again,thanks for your help and quick response.
