Burning mp3 oto cd
Hello. When I burn mp3 onto cd as music files, the sequence is as per my playlist. However, if I burn as mp3/data files (to fit more on the cd) the track listing sequence is changed into alphanumeric order.
Is there any way of stopping this re-ordering other than renaming the files into the sequence that I want(not really an option)
Thanks

Re: Burning mp3 oto cd
I've burnt a few MP3 CDs before and then played them back on my DVD player and they have always been in Alphabetical order. Which software are you using to burn the mp3 files to CD?

You have the same problem as me then. Always plays in alphbetical order rather than the desired playlist order.
This happens on windows media player.

Re: Burning mp3 oto cd
you could re-name the files and put a 001 (for 1st track), 002 (for 2nd track), 003(3rd track), 004(4th track) etc in front of them, this way they will play in the order you want.
Hope this helps,
Mike

Thanks Mike. I'd considered doing this but it seems like a bit of faffing about. Plus, for future cds I'd have to rename the file again if i wanted to change the sequence.
Any other ways of doing this or is there a different player that will let me do this?

Re: Burning mp3 oto cd
Im not sure if this will solve your broblem but have you tired using Musicmatch Jukebox to burn cd's/mp3's? Version 7.5 is probably the best one to use and is very user friendly. I know you can re-order the tracks to how you want them by drag and drop. Very good software for ripping cd's to your hdd, burning wav/mp3 and data files.
