Audio converting and napster

hi, i have OSS audio converter and when trying to convert songs dowwnloaded from napster, it doesnt work but any other songs do, i am just trying to get them to play on my mp3, they will copy to my mp3 player but they won't play.... anyone got any ideas?

it could be to with the copywriting, the tracks may be protected so the only way is to unprotect them.

thanks for the fast reply, how do i un-protect them? do i have to burn them to cd and then rip them to my computer?
the licence says: Protected Content

you may be able to burn them to a CD sometimes not, I've a few songs I ripped using WMP into WMA and I can't convert those to Mp3 or burn to a CD
