I have backed up my collection of music CD's and now I realise I can't play them on my CD player, I realise that thats just the way it is but I was kinda hoping there is a way to get past this with future backups, a program or somthing? I'm using Alcohol 120% to back up these CD's. Cheers
Dan
I don't know Alcohol 120% too well but isn't its main use in CD imaging and bypassing copy protection mechanisms? I believe it uses its own proprietary formats to allow it mount images and stuff.
Still I could be wrong.
Bear's question is very pertinent.
If you are looking to make a 1-1 copy of your music CDs then use a program such as Nero or Easy CD creator or whatever came with your CD burner. It normally comes under an option such as "duplicate disc" option or similar.
If that's exactly what you did and they're not working then it could be your CD player is a bit fussy about blank discs. Nothing you can do about that I'm afraid but try other brands or get a different CD player.
Does the disc autoplay when you stick it in your PC (a sign that it probably is a standard, correctly formatted CD although not guaranteed)
