SD card wont format

i insert the SD card into my pc and windows says that it is unable to compleate format. i also try to use my camera to format the sd card as i did this with a old sd card i had.
does any one know how to format it.
the sd card is a 2GBSD card made by datawrite i have been to their website and there is no help page.

have you ever formatted the card?

do you just want to remove all the data on it?

the cards have a secure area and if that gets corrupted it's bye bye to the card

basicly the card is brand new and i try to format it and it dont work

can you put any data onto it

I'm in the same boat with a new 2Gb 'Viking Networks' SD card, and I know someone else with the same problems.

I can add data to the card if I do it through my PDA/docking station. Doesn't work through my card reader and I can't format it. There seems to be a lot about this problem on the net but not many solutions. One was to install Pocket Mechanic on my PDA. It said it formatted it, but it still isn't accepted by my pc.

Hopefully someone knows how to fix it!
