Aftereffects compostition window disappears

When I try and move my compostition window it disappears off the screen.

We recently loaded indesign onto the system. Is there something quirky about that? Is there an order these packages should be loadedon the computer?

My premiere pro is also not working properly. When I try to play something on the timeline it will not play in the monitor window.

The only way I can see the clip is to use the trim bar on the monitor window.

What can you suggest.
