Itunes/Quicktime problems (On XP)

I'm having some problems with Itunes and Quicktime. I want an Ipod for Christmas but I have been told that you need Itunes for it to work on a PC.

I thought I would try Itunes out before hand to see what it was like but when I installed it Quicktime stopped working. I would try and open it and nothing would happen so I uninstalled it and it didn't remove all of the files, so I tried to use the add/remove programs feature and I get this error message:

Thats one problem I have. The next is Itunes itself. I have just reinstalled it (Version 6.0.4) and it said "Installation successful" but when that appeared I got this error message:

Here is the more detailed version:

I tried clicking 'debug' but nothing happens, the error box just disappears.

I get that error message everytime I try to open it.

I'm not sure whats going on since I have never had problems with Quicktime before I installed this (I installed Itunes for the first time several moths back and have just left the .exe file on my PC).

I hope I have given enough details for someone to have an idea of how to fix this, if not I can easily post more details (well, I hope I can anyway).

I will probably send this message to Apple as well, so thanks in advance if you can help, if not, thank you for reading anyway.

Never mind, I have fixed it. There were some corrupt Quicktime files that I needed to delete.
