Installing AIM

I recieved a laptop from my high school that is generally used for work but can be used for anything else outside of school. I have tried to install AIM, but my laptop won't let me because I do not have administrative rights. I know there are ways of getting around this because all of last year, countless AIM profiles had "laptop" writen in them. Does anybody know if there is a specific version that I would need to find?

You'd be best off asking your schools IT person i.e. The Administrator.

If the school has no problem with AIM then he/she/it should be able to help you.
