Hi,
There is a great site to download updates from.
This link provides updates for vista:

The question I have is - how do you apply this update? It is a .msu file.

Er...have you downloaded it yet? Download it, open it...then it will install. (click on it!)

It is a .msu file.
The computer does not know how to open it.
