This is a fix I used on my wifes IBM T-23 Laptop, 248mb RAM,80gigh/d,Savage display card. The error message on Cyberlink Power DVD 5 player is : Error F4D41436 This copy protected disc cab not be played when the TV out function is enabled. The TV Out port of your display card is not working properly. This laptop has no TV out port. This is Macrovision protection keeping you from watching movie on DVD player. Windows Media will ALSO GIVE A SIMILAR ERROR. The way I found a way around this is here:
http://www.majorgeeks.com/DVDFab_HD_...ter_d5168.html . After installing put your DVD Disc in DVD ROM and open DVDFab HD Decrypter 4. Select start and it copies movie to your hardrive. Takes 30 minutes on wifes laptop. Yours may be faster. After finishing close window and go to My Documents. Open DVDFab and create shortcut on desktop.Makes it easier to delete files later.open Cyberlinks DVD Player 5. On the Cassette looking Control Panel in the bottom left hand corner is Select Source. Left click it Open DVD File on hard disk drive. Click on + botton by Movie (Pulp Fiction), Left click Video_TS, Left click OK,Enjoy the Movie. This Software is free and works like a charm for this kind of problem. I haven't tried using Windows media player yet with this program. Maybe somebody else That only uses that kind of player on an older system can post here on how it turns out. Took 10 hours of research and troubleshooting to come up with this fix. If you look at my other posts my wife practically killed hardrive trying to get past this error message. Hope anybody out there can use this fix as I was one of them.
DVD encrypter is an EXE. file. Easy to install. Any body using this fix and breaks something can't hold me or this site liable for any damages. There is also a disclaimer on the software package you have to agree to to install. Enuff said.
All movies don't give this error message but some from Netflix do.
This was done on Windows XP PRO
