how can i burn a rmvb to dvd?

i read somewhere that you have to convert it to avi first then burn it. i have a nero trial. but it still doesnt work burning avi to dvd.

what other program can i use to convert to avi and then burn to dvd?

free programs would b nice

there is a program called total video convertor, which although is pay for software, they do a free version that just puts a small logo in the top corner. this will take just about any file, and convert it to just about anything.
i would reccomend getting it, and converting to MPEG1 which NERO will defonatly burn.
