yahoo messenger help needed

i hope this is the right forum for this question. if not, please let me know which is the right one, and i will post it there instead.

i use 2 different names for yahoo messenger and when i use one for a couple days and try to check the other, i get so many offline messages it takes about 10 minutes for the messenger to boot up and load them all. i know the problem isnt in my computer, i have had that problem with any computer ive used and i get more then roughy 50 offline messages.

my question is, is there away i can run the messenger twice on the same computer? what i mean is i want to run 2 seperate messengers. one for each name i use. that way i can monitor both and talk with the people from each list at the same time. i woul just combine both lists but when i tried that, i got a message that said my list was full and i cannot add any more and i really cant delete enough from one to accomodate the other.

any help anyone can give me would be GREATY appreciated. tyvm.

I would think that you could if your drive is partitioned. If you are now installed on C:/ you could install one on F:/ for example.

thanks for the help. i dont have a partitioned drive and i have no idea how to do that so unless its fairly easy to do, i have to try another way.

i have heard of Trillian but i wonder how safe it is to use. im a bit skeptical of putting my passwords into any program other then the original. i dont know how Trillian works so i dont know if all of the info i would put into it gets sent yahoo only, or to another site as well. if i knew it was safe and i wouldnt get my passwords stolen, i would try it. do you, or anyone else, know how safe Trillian is? i hate to keep asking for help, but for me this is a big problem. ty again for the help, and for any other further assistance you can give me.
