Wont let me uninstall my printer! HELP!

Hi,im new here so hope this is the right place for this question!

I have an Epson Stylus DX7450 printer,i installed it all ages ago but accidentally installed it in german! I left it for ages but then decided to uninstall it & install it again in english. It uninstalled everything except one thing,i try & uninstall it & it says (in german) its uninstalled but its still there! & now my printer wont work at all! I really need to use it & always have to use some1 elses. My partner says its cos ive got a virus on my computer,my anti virus thing has run out & i need to put everything from my computer (music,photos,everything i want to keep) on to disc so he can clean it then put a new anti virus thing on! I really dont know wat to do!! Please help!! Fran
