Verizon's Starzplay & Adobe Flash Player 9

Hi, I know this question has probably been asked but Im having a terrible time finding the answer. I just got DSL w/ Verizon & Starzplay is a movie feature that needs Flash Player to run. I'm not sure if the following has anything to do w/ why it(Flash Player) wont install but it brings me to another question I had. First, I'm new w/computers so I apologize now for anything I say incorrect. When I try to install Starzplay it prompts me to upgrade my Flash Player, I click on upgrade, I install it "successfully", it shows up as 1 of my programs, but Starzplay never runs. I've called Verizon & did the screen sharing w/ a tech & they couldnt tell me a thing. I've tried to uninstall it but Im not sure if I did it right. Another thing, when I first called to get my internet activated a rep talked me thru the process so I didnt have to use the installation CD. This process included configuring my modem, setting up a username, etc. It also automatically set up icons on my desktop, Verizon Home, Verizon Security Suite, etc. & it also set up an icon for Starzplay which is what I click to try to install it. (tried to run it from other places too). My question is that during this setup I was using Firefox as my browser so everytime I click on any of those icons they come up in Firefox. I really wanted to change them to IE but I dont know if theres a way besides erasing them & making new icons. When Starzplay started to install it looked like it changed to IE but I cant be sure. I know Verizon said they dont support FF. Would the activation process being in FF have anything to do w/ Flash Player or Starzplay not installing. Can anyone please help me w/ this. I apologize if I just babbled on, not making any sense. I may not be the best at understanding computers but I follow directions well. Please help. I'm trying to watch a movie now. & believe a check for a donation will follow. Thanks in advance for your time
