Problem Updating Quicktime

I have Quicktime Ver. 7.0.3 installed on my computer. It runs and I can view .mov files when I open Quicktime and select the file I want to view. I am trying to upgrade Quicktime to the latest version 7.62.14.0 but the installer for the newer version can't uninstall the current version. I have tried unsucessfully to uninstallthe current version using add/remove programs.

I want to upgradge to the newer version of Quiktime because I can,t install iTunes to support my iTouch and programs that call Quicktime such as iTunes and Kodack EsayShare hang when I try to play Quicktime videos.

Please let me know if ther is a workaround or solution to this problem. I have a Dell Dimension 2350 with a Pentium 4 CPU 2.2 Ghz processor and 768 Mb of RAM.

Any advice would be greatly appriciated.

Try Perfect Uninstaller or Windows Installer CleanUp Utility. If Apple's automatic update doesn't work there is also a manual download.
