Question Which DVD-R to use?

I have recently purchased a Toshiba Satellite Notebook with a DVD-RW drive, and now need to purchase some DVD-R's so I can start copying!

When I searched on the Internet I found there are 2 DVD-R media fomats, 'plus' and 'minus'. How do I know which is suitable for my laptop and can anyone recommend the best place to purchase DVD-R's from?

Hey,

Check out these 2 sites, they may provide some information that will help you to make up your mind. The first link provides good information about the main differences between the 2 media formats and the second site states that Toshiba generally use the 'minus' media type.

If your computer uses a dvd'-'r and a dvd'-'rw then I would probably stick with the minus media format.

Hope it helps.
