counter strike

I have just had my comp reformatted by the future shop, reloaded the game and it runs horribly. All my updates are done my windows firewall is set to allow the game and drivers. I have shut down everthing in the start up menu hoping that it would pull less of a draw and still.... junk. My comp has been stripped to the bones and zeroed out, I dont understand why its not workin now when it ran sweet before the format. Pings are high, screen is shaky, choppy, grainy and out of focus... please help with any thoughts.

I have a question about counter strike. I opened counter strike and was messing around with the settings and i changed the screen size from 800x600 to something like 4000x3000. When I try to open it now it doesn't work because it os "Out of scan range" for my monitor. If anyone has any ideas for how to fix this without opening CS???

go to that page, and click the link about half way down which says
"Launch CS:Source and Reset the Video"


that will fix the problem

or it should, if not let me know
