Computer stops responding after starting a game

Hello guys!

I have a problem with my computer the day when i plugged 2 512mb sdrram into a 933mhz computer. Everytime when i start a game(except of 2, where one showed that the graphics card doesnt have enough memory) the computer doesnt respond to anything. I tried to delete the graphics driver, but then it said NVXXX.Dll made an error somewhere, so i formated pc and now it does'nt work, too.

933 mhz
512 sdrram(the computer had problems with coping with 1024. also the graphics card needed to be removed to insert the second stick of ram, but it is in again)
32mb geforce 2 mx400(with the newest driver installed)

All the games system requirements have been met.

Regards lso

Edit

A day and still no replies, you guys are great!

Anyway, Directx9.0c is installed on the pc. Still the same problem. Even msn messanger does not work lol.
