Why isnt my maple story working? Its saying fail to find proper screen mode for gr2d

wait when i was installing service pack 2 there was an error and the message was:
Data error (cyclic redundancy check)
and after i clicked okay there was another one that said:
Service Pack 2 installation did not complete

what should i do now?
P.S: not goin to go to sleep now

That error indicates a faulty source.

I know it is tedious but I would try once again starting anew from Windows Update.

If the same error occurs again I will post another source for SP2 that you can save to your hard drive.

If your SP2 problems persist:

Here is a download of SP2 which you can Save to your hard drive. Then you will never have to download it again. You can burn it to CD or if you are interested you can Slipstream it into your XP CD so that if you ever need to reinstall XP in the future you will have XP SP2 to reinstall.

Anyway here is the download and just ignore the DO NOT CLICK DOWNLOAD IF YOU ARE UPDATING JUST ONE COMPUTER line. This version is slightly larger but as said above it allows you to Save and copy from you hard drive. Choose the option to Save and put it into My Documents (for example).

What should i do if it still doesnt work?

Another question what was the second link supposed to do?

Have you loaded SP2 and the nVidia driver and it still does not work?

Or are you just speculating?

The second link is a tool that combines your XP CD with SP2 so that the next time you have to reinstall you will have a XP SP2 CD.

The SP2 thing works perfectly but the NVIDIA driver still has problems

What is the exact error message you get from nVidia?

The error message is:
An error occrued while deleting the file
E:\\WINDOWS\system32\nvinstnt.dll

Data error (cyclic redundancy check) (error #23)

THen there is to buttons that are:
Retry and Cancel
And if i click retry then the same message just comes back
