Wolfram to rival Google?

Wolfram aims to unveil the new search engine to the public in two months time, and has so far tantalised us with claims that with a mixture of many clever algorithms and heuristics, lots of linguistic discovery and linguistic curation, and what probably amount to some serious theoretical breakthroughs, were actually managing to make -Wolfram|Alpha- work.

Re: Wolfram to rival Google?
Ha! When I first saw this I immediately though of Cuil - which was overhyped and disappointing. I hope the same thing does not happen here.

I'll be interested in your review. Because Google sucks - but all the others do more.

Re: Wolfram to rival Google?
Sure! A perfect search engine will pop up the correct answer on the top of the list every time. While Google may be the best search engine available, it still sucks, requiring the user to know much about the topic first, in order to enter the correct keywords (with almost perfect spelling).

Re: Wolfram to rival Google?
I do hope that some other search engine would be able to rival google soon. I don't think it's beneficial for the users when one particular company kicks ass too much.

Bing is here in the field to counter Google....But honestly speaking... no search engine in a position to counter Google. As it enjoys almost 80% popularity and rest of all only 20%.
I think it is not possible atleast for coming years.
