and this may be my imagination, web pages seem to load more quickly than they did.
That's why I use it. I think the % means something like ASCII code follows.

Re: AOL search doing strange things

Great so ok but I really don't understand why. Just to show my ignorance what is happening that was not happening before? Is my data going all the way to the US of A and then on to where ever it should go and is the reverse true. So far I have not been able to find what OpenDNS does in words that I can understand! Guess I am just thick! (Probably only an English expression means stupid)..................JR

Re: AOL search doing strange things

It's a DNS server, which means it's used to lookup IP addresses from hostnames. ISP servers are often slower to update entries.

Re: AOL search doing strange things

Well thanks for the info. Well now even weirder as the problem I reported has just disappeared today. The only Windows update today has been this one which I would not have thought could be responsible but what do I know. Maybe AOL has done an update, don't know how you could tell!.

Definition Update for Windows Defender - KB915597 (Definition 1.63.422.0)

Date d'installation : ‎28/‎07/‎2009 09:27

État de l'installation : Réussite

Type de mise à jour : Important

Install this update to revise the definition files used to detect spyware and other potentially unwanted software. Once you have installed this item, it cannot be removed.
