i have benn having numerous promblems with my computer. eg dxsetu.exe line i managed to follow owens instructions on another thread here but that worked untill i restarted again and dxsetu.exe had come back. infact i recently downloaded a halo2 screensaver and a halo 2 walpaper and these problems came a day or two after that.

You are already receiving help, so please stick to the original thread, there is no need to post a new one. The Halo screensaver could have been the cause.
