Hi Owen,

Don't know if you will remember me but this might bring back a problem that you hoped would never return. lol.

Winpup32 and DNS errors

I have just re-installed windows, it took me a while but I got round to it eventually.

I am still having problems running adaware and it is still crashing my system. I get the blue screen of death with a warning which after googling led me to this...

Is there any software that you know of that will kill this?

Update your version of Hijack This from http://hjt.isecureit.co.uk.

Thats a clean log. Make sure you have the latest version of Ad-aware which is Ad-aware SE Build 1.05.

I don't think that article applys to you. It applys to Windows Server 2000, but not Windows 2000 Professional.

Thats a clean log, I don't know what to suggest as before. Some software just doesn't run on certain machines. On my old machine I couldn't get Sygate running. But on my new one, it runs fine.

Have a read of the Cleaning Up and Speeding Up thread at the top of this forum if you wish to improve your PCs performance (unrelated to your problem, but whilst you here anyway...).

The new adaware is running fine. WIll check out your thread. I actually just spotted it and was going to go and have a look.
