the IE "http://" error

Since a couple of days I've been having this issue when I try to enter any site by typing its address without the "http:/" or "www." prefix. The message goes "Cannot find <addy>. Make sure the path or Internet address is correct." I know it was mentioned in here before, but the solutions didn't work for me.

My HT log:

Re: the IE "http://" error

If you want me to check the log for any bad entries that remain, I'll need a fresh log first of all.
