Adware ... any suggestions?
Ive recently got hit by some adware. When i go on a website, not all, but on some it opens another internet explorer and goes to wherever its suppost to, i.e. the site its advertising.

Ive tried searching windows explorer with the name of the site, no results. Ive downloaded two spyware/adware removers; 'Spyware Doctor' and 'Spybot: Search and Destroy'. Neither have been able to locate it and neither has Norton Anti-Virus.

Any suggestions as to what programmes or methods can be used to get rid of it? Or even find it?

Close all browser windows, restart Hijack This and put a checkmark next to the following entries:

Click Fix Checked

Then boot into Safe Mode and ensure that you are showing Hidden Files and Folders.

Delete the following files and folders. Search for files without a specific location:
sres32.exe
C:\WINDOWS\System32\vxuctv.exe
C:\WINDOWS\System32\vbsys2.dll
C:\WINDOWS\System32\csdata32.exe
OfficeGUI32.exe
qtask.exe

Reboot and post a fresh log

I did the hijackthis scan, fix checked etc.

When i rebooted in safe mode and searched for the files with Explorer and it couldnt find any. i searched manually for those with directories and found one (C:\WINDOWS\System32\vbsys2.dll) but couldnt find any of the others. Im presuming that they were deleted by hijackthis?
