Plagued by Casino search bar...

I have been plagued with a " search bar" advertising links to 'casino' sites ,gambling etc....it isn't kept away by my pop up blocker and appears on the left side of whatever site I may be browsing,right clicking doesnt do anything so I'm unable to find out what it is to remove it permanently..can anyone help please?
