Angry "Tinybar" search popup driving me crazy

Hi,

somehow an adware thing got on one of our family's computers and won't go away. It takes over our SEARCH area (MSN search) and then pops up a so-called Search page with no way to get rid of it unless of course you click on one of the hyperlinks to a service/product. Clicking on the "close" button does nothing and it also auto-hides my toolbar at the bottom of the screen.

It calls itself the "tinybar" or something like that.
They have a 'contact' email address at the bottom of the page which when you email a request for it to get out of your life, it generates an auto-reply saying to go to tinybar.com and click on the Uninstall feature to return your SEARCH page back to MSN SEARCH page. When you use this feature a weird Registry Editor message comes up on my screen asking permission for some long-stringed file name to be added to my registry. Unless you click yes it will not run and you are stuck forever with this annoying piece of crap on your computer.
Sooooo, I finally clicked yes and then the downloaded uninstall program runs and seems to return everything to normal...until today (2 weeks later) and now this piece of crap is back on my screen 'taking it over' again. Until I click on a hyperlink to a product I have no access to my toolbar and any windows that what I was previously working in.

I'm pretty frustrated with it all, but do not know what to do. any help out there? Do I have a virus or something? Not sure now.

Hi,

Firstly I would scan for Spyware if you haven't already - download and scan with SpyBot and Ad-aware then let us know.
