Problem with internet explorer

AVG keeps detecting a virus but cannot remove it. A RUNDLL warning keeps appearing with the AVG virus detected warning saying - Error loading C:\DOCUM~1\USER1~1.RDA\LOCALS~1\Temp\se.dll
Access is denied

i have run ad-aware and spybot but the problem is still there. it seems to affect internet explorer as it changes my home page and sometimes does not open internet explorer. i am now using firefox to browse the web. A hijackthis report follows:

Hello,mr_kip69 & Welcome

Please change the location of HijackThis.exe.
Create a new folder in your C: Drive
Name it C:\HJT or HijackThis and move the HijackThis.exe file in it.
It's best for this tool NOT TO be located in your Desktop or in a TEMP folder.
This way you can undo any changes if something goes wrong

Download CWShredder™ here and save it to its own folder named CWShredder. Save it at the root of the C:\drive the same location as HijackThis. Don't run it yet, we will use it later.

Download SpSeHjfix here and save it to the desktop. Now right click on a blank part of the desktop and select New, then Folder. Name this new folder SpSeHjfix. Place SpSeHjfix111.exe in the new folder. Save it at the root of the C:\drive the same location as HijackThis. Don't run it yet, we will use it later.

Please reboot into Safe Mode. For instructions click here.

From Safe Mode, run CWShredder. To open the program, double-click on CWShredder.exe. Now, click the 'Fix->' button (not 'Scan Only') and you'll be prompted that CWShredder will shutdown any Internet Explorer and Windows Media Player windows, click OK to continue and let it run completely to delete anything it finds. After its scan, click Next, then Exit.

From Safe Mode, double-click SpSeHjfix111.exe and click on Start Disinfection. When it has finished its scan, it will reboot your PC to finish the cleaning process and delete the malware files. The tool creates a log of the fix which will appear in the folder.

Now back in Normal Mode (Windows), open HijackThis, click "Do a system scan and save a logfile", copy and paste the contents of the new logfile and the log that was created by SpSeHjfix here for review.

Now i have some software for you

SpywareBlaster
http://www.javacoolsoftware.com/spywareblaster.html

SpywareGuard
http://www.javacoolsoftware.com/spywareguard.html

IE-SPYAD is a Registry file (IE-ADS.REG) that adds a long list of sites and domains associated with known advertisers, marketers, and crapware pushers to the Restricted sites zone of Internet Explorer.
https://netfiles.uiuc.edu/ehowes/www/resource.htm

Blocking Unwanted Parasites with a Hosts File
http://www.mvps.org/winhelp2002/hosts.htm

& This here i use each day or 2

popular programs for doing this, is a freeware program calledCrap Cleaner. Crap Cleaner is a single utility that lets you clear your Cookies, Internet Explorer History, Empty the Recycle Bin, Uninstall Programs, Clear Usage Tracks and much more. As well as this, it has an Advanced Registry Scanner. Using a program like this is one of the easiest methods.

Hey,mr_kip69

Odd ok did you get this prog here

Blocking Unwanted Parasites with a Hosts File
http://www.mvps.org/winhelp2002/hosts.htm

if no give it a try the other thing i can think of
is this well that's if you did change the HOSTS file
is to go to the HOSTS file & rename it to say HOSTS.old

reboot then see if it happens again & also
if that is a no go then in XP you can goto
Add/Remove Programs & Uninstall/Remove IE
& there should be an option to Repair it

but make sure that if you do that to check
all your settings in IE

let us know
