Infected.. Badly
Hey guys..
I recently had to restore my PC due to a corrupt OS. Since returning, I have hardly visited any websites (though downloaded a fair bit) and already I have become infected with countless amounts of spyware.
I am usually good at preventing Spyware and ten to laugh at those who get infected.. But now it's happening to me :O.
I am using AVG Anti Virus (Free one) and have tried using Ad-Aware 6 and Spyware Doctor but both have failed me.. As they are still here (the spyware).
Last time I used ewido, that didn't help either.. So I uninstalled it.
Zone Alarm is far too obtrusive and I extremely dislike it.
Themain source of 'ads' is from some program called 'Aurora'. I stopped the process and searched for files using this keyword (but found nothing).
What should I do? Thanks a lot!

Re: Infected.. Badly
Hey,dynamix
Ok we have 2 of the bad ones here so do this first
Download CW-Shredder at the link below:
http://www.isecurity.org.uk/downloads/cwshredder.exe
Download SpSeHjfix here:
http://www.derbilk.de/SpSeHjfix112.zip
Save it to the desktop and then right click a blank part of desktop & select new folder, call it spfix. Unzip the file into that folder
Disconnect from the net and Close ALL OPEN PROGRAMS.
Run 'SpSeHjfix'. and click on "Start Disinfection".
When it's finished it will reboot your machine to finish the cleaning process.
The tool creates a log of the fix which will appear in the folder.
If it doesn't find any of the SE files or any hidden reinstallers it will say system clean and not go on to next stage
Now run the CWShredder - Hit The FIX button!
Reboot and post a fresh HJT log and the log that was created by 'SpSeHjfix'.

I was unable to get the log for the spfix one. My PC was playing up.
Is this okay? BTW, thanks for this, I really appreciate it!
PS. I notice one of the entries says LEXMARK. That's wierd. I have nothing Lexmark lol.
