Re: Why can't I log onto the Interet, after removing Trojan Virus?

Hi has anyone had a chance to look at my problem of not being able to log onto the Internet using IE 6.0 running on Windows 2000 Professional, on a HP Vectra. I used trendmicro a on-line scan service (Free) and it ID'd several Trojan Viruses. One of which was undeletable. Well I found a MacAfee site that said I could go into MS-DOS in the Safe Mode and find the file that the virus was in and delete it from there, I did this and then was unable to log onto the internet. message said "shdocl.dll/dnserror.htm" I ran the latest scan and copied it to a disk and used my wifes computer to log on and sign up for D-A-L Premium Service and copied the Log file to the message. Will an anwser be forthcoming, if so approx. how long? I don't want to sound pushy, just curious.
