Spy Sweeper 4.0 (Major conflicts)

Hi, I just downloaded the new version of spy sweeper4.0. Installed and did a scan and all was good. I then went to open outlook express and was told

"windows cannot access the specified device, path, or file. you may not have the appropriate permission to access the item"

I am the adminstrator!

Firstly has anyone else had this problem after instaling spy sweeper?

I couldnt access any program at all, not even system restore, msconfig etc. I eventually bite the bullet and swithced it off expecting to have to do a reinstall. thankfully it was ok, got rid of spy sweeper.

Secondly, how can I tell if spy sweeper has done any other damage to my computer. If its deleted is that it or could there still be file that could cause conflict?

Thanks.

Hello,novice & Welcome

Well you don't say what OS you are running i will say it's WinXP
if so before you installed the prog did you do a Restore Point.

now as far as what other damage it may have done
would be hard for anyone to say for you see we are
not on the PC so i would say keep an eye on the PC

if it starts to do odd things lit us know & we can go
from that point on sorry not more help then this
