I have the about blank virus and I see that you have you have helped many people in the same boat. I have included a HijackThis Log. Please HELP! my computer is so slow and I can bearly navigate.

Hello,ArlowsComputerStinks & Welcome

Now i have to ask why oh why are you running IE so old
this is not good at all my friend so lit's get cleaning here.

Download CW-Shredder at the link below:
http://www.isecurity.org.uk/downloads/cwshredder.exe

Download SpSeHjfix here:
http://www.derbilk.de/SpSeHjfix109.zip
Save it to the desktop and then right click a blank part of desktop & select new folder, call it spfix. Unzip the file into that folder

Disconnect from the net and Close ALL OPEN PROGRAMS.
Run 'SpSeHjfix'. and click on "Start Disinfection".
When it's finished it will reboot your machine to finish the cleaning process.
The tool creates a log of the fix which will appear in the folder.

If it doesn't find any of the SE files or any hidden reinstallers it will say system clean and not go on to next stage

Now run the Shredder - Hit The FIX button!

Reboot and post a fresh HJT log and the log that was created by 'SpSeHjfix'.

now once you do this get right back here soon as you can
there will be more work to do.

OK, I have done it. I am now able to retain my homepage but still very slow. waiting to do the next step.

No as far as i know it has not been that long anytime i have
run test with it.

now what i need for you to do right away is goto
Winupdates & update your IE not doing so will just
have us doing this over & over again so please do
that then come back here with a new HijackThis logfile.

Here is the info you requested. I am no longer running the Yahoo stuff (switched to comcast) and am not interested in saving any related entries. I'll wait to hear from you, thanks

Also another item: when I opt to save a log file after running HJT I get an error message that says the .log file is not a valid Dr.Watson file...should it save as a Dr.Watson file or as a WPS/doc file? I have to convert the file extention to a .doc to view and send the info to you...related? I dont know...thanks
