My Hijack This Log! (problem with IE connection)

I've done the scan checks using Spybot and Adware.

My problem is that IE and Mozilla do not work on my computer, I get the 'dnserror.htm' page when I open a browser in IE and 'The document contains no data' alert on Mozilla. It happens to any URL I enter.

It started when Avast Anti-Virus detected viruses on my computer, probably embedded there by some website. It asked if I wanted to delete them but I couldn't or to quarantine them which didn't work either. When the virus alerts disappeared I rebooted my machine and the browser connection problems happened.

I've tried all sorts of solutions to do with the Winsock.dll's, copying registry keys from another computer that is of similar build, and uninstalled my IE to its default setting.
