fake system warning!

i keep on getting a fake system warning...
...its a black ! in a yellow triangle and it appears on the toolbar at the bottom of my screen . and says things like u have adware and trys to direct me to spyware and adware removal software pages(malwarewipe, virusblast, etc).it also comes on warning boxes. its annoying and keeps disrupting me + i keep on getting pop ups despite pop up blocker!!!! help
ps, i have checked for adware etc and cant find it, and its majorly slowing my comp down!
