help with norton anti virus

I need help with norton antivirus

we have had it on our computer for years now and do a weekly scan , do livedate when it tells us and renew it yearly BUT its saying the antivirus needs urgent attention ( it was only attention yesterday ) its saying my virus definations need updating and I need to run liveupdate but I keep doing it and it goes through the motions and says live update has been completed but in the anti virus control panel it still saying they haven't been updated since June 06 I don't think the antivirus package I'm using has support any longer so I'm stuck

can someone shed any light on this please

Your very issues also happened to me. My version of NAV was quite dated (2002 or 2003) on one of my older less used PCs. It appears that at some point they decide to end support for older versions and then also make the 'live update' no longer work. I was only able to manually update the definitions even though the notes indicated that my version was not supported. After my subscription ran out, I uninstalled NAV (with difficulty) and changed my AV Tool to NOD32.
