outlook virus

Help someone, my computer started going slow so i did all the obvious defrag, used SPYBOT,NOADWARE,AVG SPYWARE and XSOFT and cleaned it all. When i try to send a message i get the error message OX800ccc60 and it stays in my outbox and wont send,i can recieve.I contacted my provider BT and was told to check all details for my mail which i did and were correct.I was told that i must have a virus and it would be best to renew the hard drive can anyone help thanks.
have added a hijackthis below also i forgot to mention tried to restore back but it wont let me restore maybe hard drive has given up thnx

Install Options:

• Don't install any Toolbars, or other programs, should it ask you!
• Just uncheck the option of installing the Yahoo toolbar.

It will put a shortcut on your Desktop.

Do not run CCleaner until requested later.

SAFEMODE: Boot into safe mode by tapping the F8 key at restart and choosing 'safe mode' menu option (explained here if needed).



Delete TEMPORARY FILES: Now, use CCleaner to hunt down the most common temporary file locations and the temporary file clutter contained therein (and of possible malware hiding places):

Run CCleaner .

FIRST-TIME USE:
Select the ‘Options’ BUTTON option (top LEFT), ‘Advanced’ BUTTON, and then UNCHECK the ‘Only delete files in Windows Temp Folders older than 48 hours’.

Select the ‘Cleaner’ BUTTON option (top LEFT), if not already selected. Use the ’Windows’ TAB up front by default.

• Uncheck ‘Cookies’ option (advisable)
• Optionally, Uncheck ‘Recently Typed URLs’ option (potentially still useful)
• Click the ‘Analyse’ button.
• Thereafter, click ‘Run Cleaner’ after you have reviewed what it proposes to clean.

***** Clean out the Recycle Bin for items removed below, ONLY once you have regained the full functional use of your PC.




Navigate to these files or folders using Windows Explorer (OR Start -> Search) and delete (if present):

You appear to running two (2) antivirus tools at the same time - not a satisfactory state of affairs:

Uninstall one of them and potentially your problems may go away.

i only just installed avast as someone told me to have now gone back to avg only thnx problem still the same maybe the hard drive has gone.Its only outlook that cant send messages reieve ok maybe if i find out how to back up my inbbox and contacts i coulddelete and reinstall. thnx

The following tool (details below) is particularly good at picking up any potential malware content embedded inside Outlook. Some AV tools do not scan the email client by default nor do they do a good job of it.

Otherwise, there are repair steps that should next be considered in case the current Outlook files have been somehow corrupted. If possible, you could try setting up a separate user profile account and a new outlook profile (my ISP provides 5 available email accounts) to get Outlook working again.



Please do an online scan (scan only tool) with Kaspersky WebScanner
[Internet Explorer required]


Click on Kaspersky Online Scanner

You will be prompted to install an ActiveX component from Kaspersky, Click Yes.

• The program will launch and then begin downloading the latest definition files:
• Once the files have been downloaded click on NEXT
  
• Now click on Scan Settings
• In the scan settings make sure that the following are selected:
  • Scan using the following Anti-Virus database:
    - Extended (if available otherwise Standard)
  • Scan Options:
    - Scan Archives
    - Scan Mail Bases
• Click OK
• Now under select a target to scan:
  • Select My Computer
• This program will start and scan your system.
• The scan will take a while so be patient and let it run.
• Once the scan is complete it will display if your system has been infected.
  • Now click on the Save as Text button:
• Save the file to your desktop.
• Copy and paste that information in your next post.
