Spyware Doctor's antivirus may be dangerous to your mail program's health.
After activating the new antivirus feature successively on my PC and then on my notebook, all the emails in my Inbox of both disappeared. Fortunately, I had done a partition backup on both a few days before and was able to recover most of the lost mail. In the meanwhile, I have been able to purposely repeat the process by conducting a scan and each time lost my Inbox mails.
The program is deleting the entire email Inbox without identifying the alledged virus or relegating it to the Quarantine section.
It is the equivalent of a doctor finding a brain tumor and removing the brain.
This „defect“ has caused me no small amount of time and anguish and I hope my warning will help other.
PC Tools Tech. Service has not denied the problem simply stating that they are working on it.
In spite of my problems with it, I think Spyware Doctor is a good program but suggest caution in activating the antivirus feature.
