HijackThis log - lop.com toolbar/spyware
Hey there, this is my first time posting so I hope I do everything right. First off, this is my friend's computer I'm posting about. She has Adaware 6, and Spybot Search and Destroy installed, and her brother recently installed MSN Messenger Plus, which in reading another post about this lop.com toolbar, seems to be where they might have got this. Anyways, here is her HijackThis log.

Thats why you need to read things when your installing. MessengerPlus gives you the option to optout of the Lop installation.

Close all browser windows, restart Hijack This and put a checkmark next to the following entries:

Click Fix Checked

Then boot into Safe Mode and ensure that you are showing Hidden Files and Folders.

Delete the following files and folders:
C:\PROGRAM FILES\ANTE FORK
C:\PROGRAM FILES\OBJMESS

Reboot and post a fresh log

Thanks for your help. I was working it out on paper, trying to figure out which files I would remove while awaiting your response, and I was right about all of them, but had 3 of them in the "maybe remove" pile. Anyways, thanks for your help and I'll use this to help out my friend. I know all about installing and choosing options and things, but her brother is 12 and doesn't know/doesn't care, so hopefully she'll talk to him about this. Thanks for your help, I'll post again to let you know how it goes.
