Hijack This log- norton problem, CD drives missing

My norton 360 will not turn on auto-protect if i click fix now it still won't turn on. Also, my CD drives just disappeared for My Computer last week and I do not know what the problem is. My norton subscription is almost finished and i wanted to know what are some good alternatives to it to improve security and use up less of my machine. All help is appreciated

That entry is considered to be a hack to bypass windows activation and the only normal reason to have it would be a dodgy copy of windows. Unless you can convince us that you have a legal copy of windows and this has been mistakenly installed or installed without your knowledge & approval by some malware, we will close this thread and not offer any further help.

In order to resolve any potential non-genuine licensing issue, please visit: www.microsoft.com/genuine and click on "Validate Windows". If the validation fails, you'll see a button to click on which will provide information on how to acquire a WGA Kit.

The running of two (2) antivirus tools at the same time may be responsible for some or all of your immediate issues (AVG and Norton). Please uninstall one of those tools.

I do have a genuine copy of windows but when i put in a new hard drive after my old one died i installed my same copy of windows from the CD and when i went to activate, it said the activation code was already used. So i looked around on the internet and the easiest and fastest option was to download that patch.
